Dartmouth is home to an exceptional community of students, alumni and professors, many of whom are also climate experts and advocates. DCA is thrilled to showcase them in our new podcast, Beyond the Green: The Climate Careers Podcast.
If you’ve ever wondered how a Dartmouth alum went from walking across the Green at graduation to their dream job, this podcast is for you. Each episode of Beyond the Green pulls back the curtain on what a climate career actually looks like by interviewing a Dartmouth alum on their journey, as well as the mentorship and advice that has impacted them along the way. Our third episode is live, featuring Maya Khanna '22, Legal Intern at Earthrights International and student at NYU School of Law training to practice human rights and environmental justice law. Tune in to learn how Maya’s “non-traditional environmental background” started with a history degree from Dartmouth then took her to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon for her senior thesis, then to Rome to work on indigenous land rights after graduation. Support the next generation of climate leaders: be a mentor
The Dartmouth Climate Scholars Program is seeking alumni mentors to support a new interdisciplinary cohort of undergraduate students passionate about climate change, sustainability, and environmental issues.
The Climate Scholars program (piloting in academic year 2026-2027) is designed to enrich students' academic experiences and fostering a supportive community. Through workshops, discussions, field trips, and engagement with faculty, students will explore pressing climate challenges from scientific, political, and social perspectives.
Alumni mentors will share their professional experience and offer guidance as students explore climate-related careers. Whether you work directly in the climate and sustainability sector or bring relevant expertise from another field, your insights can play a meaningful role in supporting students as they develop into future climate leaders.
