What exactly is a climate career?

Great question! As Dartmouth alumni demonstrate, a climate career can be in any profession and at any -- and every -- level. DCA's new series, Beyond the Green: The Climate Careers Podcast, will explore the paths followed by recent alums as well as those blazed by climate veterans. Our goal is to encourage more students, recent graduates and mid-career professionals to actively explore how to manifest their own climate careers.

Calling all alumni

Support the next generation of climate leaders: be a mentor

The Dartmouth Climate Scholars Program is seeking alumni mentors to support a new interdisciplinary cohort of undergraduate students passionate about climate change, sustainability, and environmental issues.

The Climate Scholars program (piloting in academic year 2026-2027) is designed to enrich students' academic experiences and fostering a supportive community. Through workshops, discussions, field trips, and engagement with faculty, students will explore pressing climate challenges from scientific, political, and social perspectives.

Alumni mentors will share their professional experience and offer guidance as students explore climate-related careers. Whether you work directly in the climate and sustainability sector or bring relevant expertise from another field, your insights can play a meaningful role in supporting students as they develop into future climate leaders.
