EVENTS
The Dartmouth Climate Alliance offers a range of in-person and online events that explore some of the aspects of climate change as it affects our lives, from career advice to health impacts to searching for hope.
Our in-person events let people connect with others in their geographic area who share similar interests
Our virtual learning sessions feature alumni and/or Dartmouth personnel with unique expertise and perspectives
Our virtual Climate Conversations are interactive discussions where a discussion leader and participants can inspire one another to take action
PROJECTS
We also spearhead projects that help advance Dartmouth's climate commitment. A few examples:
Requesting that Dartmouth Connect add "Climate" as an industry and create a Climate group. We can't take all the credit, but we were the first group to raise the issue and made the case about why it was needed to facilitate professional networking and mentoring in the increasingly critical (and popular) field of climate.
Encouraging classes and providing specific suggestions to the College's reunion organizers on how to reduce the carbon footprint of on-campus reunions. Some of these changes will be implemented in Summer 2025; we hope more will be added in future years.
We have a few other campaigns in mind, too. Check our quarterly newsletter or check back for updates.
